A Path to Recovery-Start Here!

Introduction

The aftermath of pathological love relationships is like none other. The devastation and the unique symptoms that people experience are not widely understood by other counselors and doctors. We are the leading experts on ‘Healing After a Pathological Love Relationship.’ The Institute has attracted excellent staff members to help you through the recovery stages of your aftermath.

The Institute offers our highly effective and uniquely specialized approach towards your recovery through our ‘Path to Recovery Program.’ Healing through The Institute begins with an in-depth assessment of your current situation including emotional, physical, spiritual, legal, parental, sexual and the most problematic symptoms you are experiencing. From that, The Institute develops a unique recovery plan for your situation.

The Immediate Intervention Team will be the first to work with you. This can include our Parenting Behavioral Analyst who can help your child with acting out behavior, our PTSD Court Accommodation Report writer who can prepare court reports, and/or our Pathology Coaches or Mental Health Professionals who will work intensely with you regarding your story and helping you understand pathology and its effects on you.

The second part of your ‘Path to Recovery Program’ includes working with our Symptom Management and Trauma Processing Team. They will help you learn effective methods of reducing your unique symptoms related to the pathological relationship. This can occur in phone counseling, tele-conferencing groups, 1:1’s, or retreats. Choose what works for you!

The final part of your ‘Path to Recovery Program’ includes working with our Stabilizing, Relapse Prevention and Recovery Planning Team who will help you prevent another pathological relationship, develop a recovery plan and initiate the steps and behaviors for recovery. Most importantly, they will help you begin rebuilding a healthy life. Choose what fits with your life style—phone counseling, tele-conferencing groups, 1:1’s, retreats and coming soon, our web channel for in-home pathology education and healing.

Following the completion of your ‘Path to Recovery Program’ let us help you incorporate what you have learned through The Institute in our ‘Each one, Teach one’ program that trains peer-survivors how to work with other survivors (ONLY available to those who have successfully completed the ‘Path to Recovery Program’.

Become part of The Institute’s solution for public pathology education by being a voice in your community!

What You Need To Know

We Can’t Provide Emergency Services

We are not an emergency-based program which requires the ability for an organization to see someone face-to-face during crisis. While we do our best to respond to someone within 48 hours, we do so on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are in crisis, are physically unsafe, or emotionally crashing, you should first seek services in your local community prior to approaching The Institute. We cannot help others with the crisis of domestic violence that just occurred or feels imminent, as well as emotional crisis of suicidality or a psychological need that feels urgent beyond what we can do by phone or within 48+ hours. People who have those types of crisis will be referred back to their local communities for stabilization before The Institute works with them. If you are contacting us because of a current or immediate crisis, please be aware of our parameters.

We’re Not a Non-profit

The Institute is not a non-profit which means we charge for our services. We strive to keep our pathology expert assistance affordable for most people. Keep in mind that our Staff is uniquely qualified to deal with pathological love relationships and our program is the only existing program of its kind anywhere. You can read their bios on the magazine site under each ‘Column’ written by our team members. The exact cost of your recovery will be determined by the kinds of assistance you need.

Health Insurance Coverage

** Call your health care provider and ask if they will pay for individual therapy by an LCSW or an LPC and if they have in-network or out-of network benefits. Some of therapists can do both. It is the responsibility of the client to check out their insurance benefits. All therapists ask that the client pays for the session in advance, is given a receipt that they can personally file with their insurance company. The therapists do not file insurance. We are striving to find grants that will allow us to offer partial scholarships for our more expensive services.
