Peer Groups
The Institute will be offering survivors the ability to become trained as a Peer Support Group Facilitiator in The Institute’s Model of Care in ‘Pathological Love Relationships.’
The absence of trained Peer Support Group Facilitators is an obstacle to recovery. One of The Institutes missions is to train others so that quality care is available to survivors.
To be a Support Group Facilitator, you do not have to be a licensed mental health professional or certified coach. You simply need a length of time that you have been pathology-free from the relationship and show the ability to facilitate a support group based on your own recovery skills.
The Peer Group Facilitator Training is currently being developed. If you would like to be on our mailing list to receive information when the program is available, please email us at saferelationships (at) yahoo (dot) com. This training will be offered in our retreats in NC.
As peer support groups become available, we will list them on this site. Please do not contact us asking if we have groups in various cities as we will list them as people become trained. If there isn’t one in your area, be the change you want to see and get trained and start a peer support group in your city. Contact us for training.
